PS5 – The First Gaming Console with an Apple Music App

For all gamers and music lovers, Apple Music app has been added on Sony PlayStation 5 console. This is the first console till now that gets Apple Music support and introduces an Apple experience to PS5 gamers globally. Apple Music for PS5 is available to download and setup only for subscribed users.

PS5 users can have access to all the Apple music catalogues with over 90 million songs, over 30,000 organized playlists, music videos in 4K and Apple Music Radio with present hits, classics, country live and playlists according to their music preferences.

The console offers seamless integration with the Apple Music streaming service with music video playback and background music. As a result users can listen before, during, or after their gaming session.

For Background Music Play

Subscribers press the PS button on the Dual Sense wireless controller to access the Control Centre and select the Music Function card. From there, they can find recommendations that match their gaming session, or choose from their library playlist or from other Apple Music gaming catalogues.

For Seamless Music Video Playback Apple Music

Subscribers can find and watch music videos from a big range of artists in the app. If they start by playing a full screen video and then decide to go back to their gameplay or navigate elsewhere on the PS5’s home screen, the audio from the music video continue to play. If they want to go back to the music video, it’ll also pick up seamlessly from wherever they are in the song, with no music interruption.

Apple Music on PS5 can be enjoyed by downloading the app from the Media space on PS5 and following the instructions to connect the Apple Music account!
